Big News Revealed In Jussie Smollett Case, Watch For The Latest…
It’s been about two weeks since “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett was allegedly attacked by two masked people on a Chicago street.
And the police haven’t found a lot despite hours spent on the case and 12 detectives devoted to it.
They haven’t been able to find any video of the attack despite poring over hundreds of video hours.
But one of the things holding up the case in one way was the fact that Smollett had refused to turn over his phone.
Smollett and his music manager had claimed that they were on the phone with each other when Smollett was attacked. Police had asked Smollett to turn over his phone for the police to check but Smollett had refused.
Now police are reporting that Smollett has turned over phone records from about the time of the attack.
Except there’s one problem.
Chicago Police say “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett has now turned over his phone records from the early morning hours of the reported attack two weeks ago.
Police Spokesman Tom Ahern said Monday: “Chicago police received limited and redacted phone records from the victim.”
So why would he need to have “limited and redacted records” for within a couple of hours of the alleged attack?
Turns out the police must have had the same question.
Because they are not happy with what Smollett turned over and their statement says a lot.
Wow. Do they not believe the records or are they just too “redacted” to be of any help?
In any event it’s pretty clear they’re being polite but not happy.
Looks like it’s heating up!
