Who Republicans and Democrats are inviting to the State of the Union tells you everything you need to know about the two parties.
Democrat Rep. Bonnie Watson (D-NJ) has announced that she is inviting Victorina Morales, an illegal alien from Guatemala, who used to work at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. She worked there with false papers and was fired after giving an interview to the New York Times and confessing her status.
Watson says she wants to bring Morales to show President Donald Trump the “law-abiding” ‘immigrants’ that he is “exploiting.”
It’s more important that she “own” Trump and celebrate entering illegally than it is to support the rule of law.
Meanwhile, Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Trump himself will have their own guests.
Blackburn is inviting Knoxville fire captain D.J. Corcoran, the father of 22 year old Pierce Corcoran. Pierce was killed on Dec. 29 by a 44 year old illegal alien who has been charged with criminally negligent homicide and driving without a license or insurance. Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) is inviting Pierce’s mother.
From Free Beacon:
“The tragedy the Corcoran family has endured is one no family should ever have to experience,” Blackburn said. “The attendance of Pierce’s parents at the State of the Union serves as a reminder that we as a Congress have a duty to keep the American people safe. It is an honor to attend with Captain Corcoran.”
Burchett, who was Knox County’s mayor before he was elected to Congress last year, said he’s known the Corcoran family for years.
“My wife gladly gave up her spot for the Corcorans, and I’m honored to have them in attendance at the State of the Union,” said Burchett. “I have been friends with their family for years, and I can’t imagine how difficult it was losing Pierce.”
“Congress has to get to work on stronger laws and increased border security so tragedies like this might be prevented in the future,” Burchett added.
Trump has also said that he will be inviting people related to the border issue and those who have suffered because of the failure to have proper security.
